Released on the 18th of May 2015, developed and published by CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a fantasy RPG that has already obtained over 800 awards and nominations for its unique story, mechanics and visuals, including Best Visual Design, Game of the Year, Best RPG and Developer of the Year, Best Storytelling, Ultimate Game of the Year and a lot many others.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Story
Inner of the best Storyline of the year, The Witcher 3 is coming with a complex story, related to all the other previous apparitions in the series and this time focusing mainly on multiple several epic threads, including the Nilfgaard invasion in the Northern Kingdoms during the horrible raging ar and the mission of finding the Child of Prophecy, and also on finding the love Geralt has lost.
With more secondary scenarios, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will offer several smaller stories in a movie-like quality, adding beautiful cutscenes and impressive key moments, while everything is amplified by an intense vibration of colors and of the most beautiful designs and detailed landscapes of the year.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Mechanics
As a winner of so many awards, it is already obvious that the game mechanics is more complex and diverse than ever. Even from the beginning, the realm of the game will be four times larger than the one in the previous apparition from the series. Regarding gameplay, moreover, there will be tones of available quests which along with the story will be able to keep a player engaged in over one hundred of hours of playthrough, of exploring, fighting and achieving goals in caves, ancient ruins, villages and several other environments. While you will be able to give up some of your missions and challenges, you will also be forced to support the consequences of your actions, due to an excellent dynamic of the gameplay. You will also get the chance to win some extra-rewards by participating in those beloved monster hunts, but the most interesting quests will be those involving investigation, mystery and other mini-games specific to the quest region you’re in. The story will go on even without participating but then, here will the fun be?
With every decision taken, the story will take another turn due to the big number of options and to a non-linear plot, offering maximum freedom to the players. Fast travelling to already visited places and quick riding on back of horses will be possible due to a new game engine which will skip those long waiting loading screens by loading data in the background and offering the opportunity of traversing the entire game world from one corner to another in maximum forty minutes. And nonetheless, the battle system and the artificial intelligence ere impressively improved, with better animations and movements (Geralt will have 96 combos to use, in comparison to 20 in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings), with more fun skills such as making a pirouette in order to evade attacks, a more clear perspective upon every fight due to better camera systems, more boss fights which, once won, will transform the defeated monsters into great sources of new components, items and knowledge about the weaknesses of the enemies. And along so many other aspects, a dynamic construction of Geralt that allows him to mutate his abilities and alchemy skills are also going to contribute to the most complex mechanics of a fantasy RPG experience ever played in the history of the series.
